Policies and Procedures

My Childcare Philosophy

As a family childcare provider, my goal is to provide a safe and happy place for the children where they can learn and grow physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially at their own pace. I believe children learn through play and benefit from a structured yet flexible schedule. Activities will be offered which stimulate sensory motor development, language development and social interaction. The development of strong self-esteem is also a major goal. Children will be taught to respect each other, adults and property.

Payment Procedures

Payment is due in cash the Friday morning before the following week begins. A receipt will be written each time tuition is paid. For all new children 2 weeks payment is due upon starting. The second week goes towards their last week in care. If 2 week resignation is given the last week will be taken care of. You are still responsible for paying all fees for your contracted days regardless of whether you come or not. This insures your child has a spot in my program.

Hours

8:30-2:30 Monday - Friday
*$1.00 late fee for every minute you are late per child*

Paid Holidays

New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Occasionally I will have to leave for a doctor's appt. The benefit of having an assistant is that you will still have someone to care for your child. Also, if I get sick she will be available at my home.

Personal Belongings
Please bring a change of clothes for each child including underwear and socks. Diapers, wipes, diaper rash cream should also be brought for each child. Each child will need a nap mat or blanket and pillow. These items will be sent home every Friday to be washed. Please do not bring any toys from home unless they have an attachment to it and need it to sleep.

Meals

A nutritious lunch will be served to all children 12 months and up at no extra cost to you. Breakfast is not included but you are welcome to send it with your child every morning. I also include all snacks and drinks. Children will learn the blessing and say before each mealtime. Hands will be washed and sanitized before and after meals/snacks.*If your child has a special diet please pack their lunch

Illness Policy

Under no circumstances will a sick child be allowed in my home. Sick children expose other children as well as myself and my family. If your child is running a fever of 99.5 under their arm, 100 degrees orally or 100.4 rectally parents will be called and the child has to be picked up immediately! No exceptions. The child has to be fever free for 24 hours in order to return to childcare. This also goes for vomiting and diarrhea....
Runny Nose: Children will clear runny noses are ok but if it turns green or yellow it is not acceptable for childcare.
Crusty/Red/Matted Eyes: Runny, crusted or green stuff coming out of eyes is not acceptable for childcare and children will be sent home immediately.
These are just some basic policies and procedures. I do have a handbook that is more thorough that I ask you to read through and sign for my records upon enrollment

Days: Available Monday-Friday Hours: 8:30 to 2:30pm

Full Time
Ages 4 and up $140/week
Ages 2-3 $150/week
Birth-1 year $160/week

Part Time *2 days*
Ages 4 and up $56/week
Ages 2-3 $60/week
Birth-1 year $64/week

Part Time *3 days*
Ages 4 and up $84/week
Ages 2-3 $90/week
Birth-1 year $96/week

Tuition must be paid every Friday morning prior to the week starting. Cash is preferred and receipt will be given. Checks will be accepted too.

About Me....

I have 3 boys of my own and have run an in-home for 8 years now. My husband and I have been married for 9 years now! I decided to start an in-home program when I couldn't find what I was looking for. I have enjoyed every moment, especially bonding with the kids, teaching them, watching them grow and develop.



Children birth-5: We do have a weekly theme which consists of a Bible song, Alphabet letter, Number, Color, Shape, Book and Theme. We do circle time every morning, Story time, Music and Movement, Arts and Crafts, Worksheets, Projects and Free Play. This carries out throughout the Summer but we also incorporate lots of fun activities too!! Children will also be apart of growing butterflies, Caterpillars, watching tadpoles turn into frogs, etc.



I have an open door policy and parents are always welcome to come by! We even have surprise visitors stop by on occassion (Elmo, Easter Bunny, Barney). Daily Sheets will also go home everyday with children. All projects, arts and crafts will go home daily or weekly depending on full time or part time.
